Nicholas J. Dogris, Ph.D. Is a full time, California, Licensed Psychologist working in private practice in the beautiful Eastern Sierra Mountain Range. He is BCIA board certified in neurofeedback and has over 12 years of experience in the field. He is the inventor and founder of NeuroField, Inc. which became a formal company in 2008. Dr. Dogris is trained in the assessment, diagnosis, and psychological treatment of adults, adolescents, and children. He has over 18 years of experience in the mental health field and has worked with diverse populations to include people with chronic mental illness, developmental disorders and geriatric disorders to include Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Dogris is also trained in individual, family therapy, cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic treatment modalities, QEEG, EEG Neurofeedback, Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS), hypnosis, EMDR, voice therapy, court mandated treatment of domestic violence, and play therapy. As well, Dr. Dogris is a Forensic evaluator for the Inyo and Mono County Superior Courts to include child custody, competency, and risk assessments.

Dr. Dogris graduated with his PhD from the California School of Professional Psychology and holds two Masters in both Clinical and Research Psychology. During his doctoral training, Dr. Dogris was trained in a hybrid, clinical, program that focused on traditional psychological teachings along with medical training in an effort to prepare him to become a prescribing psychologist. However, he did not pursue becoming a prescribing psychologist upon graduating with his doctorate because it was his opinion that Neurofeedback was a much more effective and long term treatment for a large spectrum of mental health problems.

Dr. Dogris began working with Len Ochs (the founder of the LENS) in 2002 and in 2005 began creating new treatment protocols for the LENS that were adopted by the majority of his colleagues who utilize the LENS in practice.

He is a member of the ISNR (International Society for Neurofeedback and Research) and participates in the ISNR annual conference. He works primarily in Bishop California in private practice, but lectures around the country providing training and consultation to practitioners who utilize NeuroField and LENS in professional practice.

Bradley W. Wiitala, B.S.E.E.. has been designing analog, digital, and RF circuitry for military, commercial, and research institutions for over 25 years. Under Dr. Dogris’ direction, Brad developed the NeuroField X1000, X2000, HRV and EEG hardware and software.

After graduating from South Dakota State University in 1982, Brad was recruited by the Navy to work at the China Lake Naval Weapons Center in China Lake, CA as an analog design engineer specializing in EW (Electronic Warfare). About 1 year after starting his new job, he became involved in one of the most successful programs in China Lake’s history, HLCS (Harm Low Cost Seeker.) In May of 1987, Brad was awarded the Technical Director’s Award for outstanding hardware design and development for his work on Adaptive Signal Thresholding as well as for the overall integration of the seeker. In November 1988, he published a paper entitled ‘Noise and False Alarm Rate Characteristics for Envelope Detector Systems Preceded by RF Amplification’. This was a fundamental report in the area of Radar FAR (False Alarm Rate) characteristics and is still available to the public through Storming Media. He continued to work in projects involving radar and Anti-Radar missile technology for over 12 years. After meeting the minimum requirement of 11 years of service, Brad was made a Fellow in the Naval Air Warfare Center Fellow Program. 

After 15 years of Civil service, Brad left the government to start his own consulting company in San Diego. For a period of 3 years, Brad did little hardware development but instead developed automated test software to test specialized RF equipment. Most of the work was done for REMEC Wireless. During these 3 years at REMEC, Brad developed his Visual BASIC programming chops as well as became a database and database front end programmer. These two skills are what were needed to develop the NeuroField software.

After getting tired of the San Diego city life, Brad wanted to get back to the Eastern Sierra area. So as soon as a job opened up for an RF Electronic Engineer at the Caltech Owens Valley Radio observatory in 1999, Brad applied and was offered a job. This was Brad’s first job where he was actually hired as an RF engineer. He has been developing electronics for the observatory for almost 10 years now. He developed the first CANBus module and now has nearly 400 CANBus modules operating at the observatory. This ‘CANBus’ is the identical bus used in the NeuroField units.
